CERETE Grant:
PCCUA is charged with creating a Center of
Excellence in Renewable Energy Technology through a US Department of
Labor grant.
The Center of Excellence (CERETE) will create
training materials and courses for a Certificate of Proficiency,
Technical Certificate, and Associate of Applied Science. These courses
will be disseminated to all Arkansas Delta Training and Education
Consortium (ADTEC) colleges*. A Bachelor of Applied Science will be
developed at Arkansas State University for students who want to continue
in the field towards a 4-year degree.
Course curriculum will concentrate on biodiesel and
ethanol production at this time. Check back for a list of courses that
are being developed!
*ADTEC colleges include: Arkansas Northeastern
College, Arkansas State University – Newport, East Arkansas Community
College, Mid-South Community College, and Phillips Community College UA. |
