Early Childhood Education

The Early Childhood Department of Phillips Community College prepares individuals desiring to work in the field of early childhood by providing a variety of program options.  PCCUA offers the Associate of Applied Science (AAS), a Technical Certificate, and the Certificate of Proficiency in Early Childhood Education.  Graduates from each of the degree programs become aware of the NAEYC child care practices, Arkansas Frameworks and the Division of Early Care and Education of the Arkansas Department of Human Services quality standards.  The program is designed to allow students to progress through the course work at their own pace with most classes being offered in the late afternoons, evenings and on weekends.
