What is the Phillips Community College of  the University of Arkansas Classified Staff Association?

 

The PCCUA Classified Staff Association is a forum to reflect the needs and interests of the full-time, classified employees of the college. Employees are encouraged to utilize the Classified Staff Association as an outlet to express views and ideas of interest to Classified Staff.

 

What is the mission of the PCCUA Classified Staff Association?

 

The mission of the PCCUA Classified Staff Association is to represent all full-time, classified employees of the college. The Classified Staff Association endeavors to provide a forum for all Classified Staff members and to participate constructively in matters that benefit the college and the Classified Staff it represents. In addition, the Classified Staff Association serves to advise the Chancellor of the college on all matters of concern to the Classified Staff and to assist in disseminating information to classified employees of the college.

Who are members of the "Classified Staff?"

 

The Classified Staff Association identifies "Classified Staff" as all full-time, classified employees. All Classified Staff members are invited to take an active part.

 

Who is eligible to participate in the Classified Staff Association?

 

Membership in the Classified Staff Association is open to all full-time, classified employees. All Classified Staff employees are encouraged to attend open meetings of the Classified Staff Association when duties permit and to communicate with representatives of the Classified Staff Association on matters of interest.

 

Is my participation necessary?

 

Classified Staff participation is not mandatory but is encouraged for all Classified Staff who wish to:

 

  • professionally interact with other Classified Staff members on campus;

  • keep abreast of current issues of interest to Classified Staff;

  • voice their opinions and concerns; 

  • take an active part in the quality of campus life.

 

When and where does the Classified Staff Association meet?

 

The Classified Staff Association holds quarterly meetings.  Time and place will be announced is subject to change as needed.  Everyone is invited to attend meetings as duty permits.
