Purpose
and Catalog Course Description: |
CT 1283-Integrated Office Projects
3 hrs., 3 credits
Pre-requisites: WP 193, WP 293, CT 183, CT 273, CT 253, or
instructor permission
Students will integrate software skills in Word, Excel,
Access, and PowerPoint using business-oriented projects.
This capstone course should be taken during the final
semester. |

Students
for Whom the Course Is Intended: |
|
This course is intended for students who need to obtain
a business simulation designed to help reinforce and
build software skills, improve Internet skills, and
develop teamwork and critical-thinking skills.
Students will learn about the operation of a small
business as they work in various departments of the
company.

chapter. Additionally, please check for

Students will begin by reviewing Excel and
Access using applications book and then will
progress to the integrated projects book. |

Attendance: |

Regular class attendance and punctuality are expected.
The instructor will call roll at the beginning of class and record those
absent.
When you know you will miss class ahead of time, let the instructor know and make
arrangements to make up any missed work. Assignments missed must be made up on your own
time. The instructor's Web Site for this course will list all materials
covered and the assignments given. It
is the student's responsibility to initiate and complete missed
assignments. |

Daily
and weekly assignments will include
reading and studying the text and
turning in assignments.
You will be expected to discuss
the material covered in class and
answer questions about the material.
All assignments must be turned
in on time.
You
will be responsible for keeping an
instruction journal in this class.
Please record assignments and
deadlines in this journal.
Please put all graded
assignments in your binder.

Responsibility: |
You are responsible for making up assignments and learning material missed during your
absences. This does not release you from submitting your assignments on the due date. |
Most students should be able to finish computer assignments in class. If you need more
time, it is your responsibility to come in extra to meet your assignment deadlines. The
lab room is open daily during study halls and may be used during those hours unless there is a class going on in
one of them. |

Late
Assignments: |
Any assignment turned in late will be subject to a grade reduction or a grade of zero.
If an assignment is accepted, late
it will receive a letter grade reduction for each day that it
is late. No assignments will be graded after taking the unit exams (unless the instructor
has stated otherwise). |

Plagiarism
Offering the work of
another as one’s own

plagiarism. Therefore,
any student who fails to
give appropriate credit
for ideas or materials
he/she takes from
another, whether fellow
student or a resource
writer, is guilty of

buying papers from the

Number: 404.05
Student
Discipline Policy (PCCUA Administrative Procedure
405.01 A description of the incident
and the action taken will be reported through the dean to the Vice
Chancellor for Instruction and placed in the student's file in the Office
of Admissions and Records. The
student may appeal either the finding of cheating or the penalty, or both,
as described in Administrative Procedure No. 404.06, Academic Appeal
Procedure.
Cheating in this class:
Cheating will not be tolerated.
If you are cheating on one occasion,
you will receive an “F” for the whole unit’s work (not limited
to that one assignment). If
found cheating on a second occasion, you will be asked to drop the
class.
If the cheating occurs after the drop date, or if you choose not
to drop, you will receive an "F" for the class.
All work must be on your disk or in your notebook unless the instructor directs you
to destroy them.
