Portfolio Section D: Community Service
Given the necessity of a close relationship between a community college and the community that it serves, almost any community involvement is valuable to the college. Emphasis should be given, however, to those activities that are related to the instructor’s expertise.

Technical Assistance:
1. Created an Award Certificate for Helena Chemical, John Killion.
2. Created a Valentine’s Day Flyer using Word with a short message from the Division of Business for the Recruitment Activities on February 12 – 14, 2007.
3. Provided a Valentine’s Day activity using Publisher for the Recruitment Activities on February 12 – 14, 2007.
4. Created an Easter Flyer using Word with a short message from the Division of Business for the Recruitment Activities on April 2 – 4, 2007.
5. Provided an Easter Activity using Publisher for the Recruitment Activities on April 2 – 4, 2007.
Other Community Activities:
1. Co-chaired the Relay for Life Bake Sale for the college on April 4, 2007.
2. Bought, smoked, and donated 8 smoked chickens for the bake sale.
3. Made and donated an Italian Cream Cake for the bake sale.
4. Made and donated a bundt cake for the bake sale.
5. Participated in Christmas Cantata at Second Baptist Church, WH
6. Help cook and distribute meals, and clean up the kitchen for Awana kids (churched and non-churched) plus the teachers on Wednesday nights at Second Baptist Church.
