Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas is seeking qualified applicants for the following position on the Helena Campus.  This is a full-time, 12 month position with full college benefits.

 Maintenance Assistant
Helena Campus
Classified – Grade 8

Essential Job Duties:

·                    Maintenance work primarily at the Pillow-Thompson house and secondarily on campus to include painting, chalking, replacing wood, staining, varnishing;

·                    Replace/maintain equipment and supplies as needed;

·                    Outside cleaning and maintenance of facility to include some grounds work;

·                    Occasional work in inclement weather is required; and

·                    Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:     Must have knowledge of procedures, methods and practices of the painting trade.  Must have knowledge of safety precautions in dealing with paint, ladders, and scaffolds.  Must be able to follow written and oral instructions; must be able to perform manual labor; must be able to perform some grounds keeping duties, and must be able to climb ladders and scaffolds.  High school diploma or GED and experience in comparable setting is required.
