This personal presentation counts as a test grade. You will create your own presentation, but it must include some standard items. The basic presentation is worth 80 points; the more you add to your presentation, the more points you will receive. For the basic presentation, you will need:

  1. 7 slides, for 50 points:
    1. Title Slide (your name MUST be the title of your show)
    2. My Family
    3. My Hobbies
    4. My Favorite Holiday (or time of the year, celebration, etc.)
    5. Academic Life
    6. My Favorite Things
    7. Ending Slide
    8. Each additional slide after these 7 is worth 2 extra points, up to 5 slides/10 extra points. Slides must contain information!
    9.  Missing slides are -10 each

  2. Animation, for 5 points:
    1. Five applications to Text and/or Graphics. Less than 5 is a 0.
    2. Each additional animation to text/graphics is worth 1 point each, up to 5 extra points.
  3. Sound, for 5 points:
    1. Five instances applied with animation, or applied through the use of sound files. Less than 5 is a 0. You CANNOT get extra points with sound!
  4. Graphics, for 10 points:
    1. Five regular graphics (clip art, photos, logos, etc.) worth 5 points; less than 5 is a 0. Each additional graphic will count 1 point each, up to 5 extra points. Scanned pictures count as regular graphics.
    2. Five motion clip art graphics worth 5 points; less than 5 is a 0. Each additional motion clip art will count 1 point each, up to 5 extra points.
  5. Word Art, for 5 points:
    1. Five pieces of Word Art worth 5 points; less than 5 is a 0. Each additional piece of Word Art is worth 1 point each, up to 5 extra points.
  6. Slide transition, for 5 points:
    1. Transition must be applied to ALL slides for 5 points; if you have applied it to only some of your slides you will receive 0 points.

    2. If you have NO slide transition, you will receive -5 points.

You can also receive extra points for changing template colors/textures/patterns and fonts. This is worth up to 5 points, and must be uniform throughout the presentation. Be sure to check spelling & grammar in your presentation.

Make sure you print your final presentation in HANDOUTS, 6 TO A PAGE, BLACK & WHITE. PRESENTATION MUST BE SAVED TO THE SERVER TO BE GRADED!
