GEOG 213- Introductory Geography

Course Description: GEOG 213, is a survey of the physical and cultural characteristics of the world environment. The course examines the inter-relationships between humankind and the physical world through the student’s understanding of maps, terms, devices and methods employed by geographers in their study of people and places.

Course Goals: At the conclusion of the course, the student should have a working knowledge of the physical and cultural characteristics of the various regions of the world.  The student should also be able to discuss the issues facing each of those areas because of the various cultural and geographical issues that are present, along with any present efforts to work through those issues.
