MammoVan to provide mammograms at PCCUA-Stuttgart
Annual mammograms are important because they can detect cancer early — when it is most easily treated. These screenings are of particular importance because they can reveal any changes in the breast up to two years before they can be felt.
The UAMS Mobile MammoVan is set to provide on-site mammograms at Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas (PCCUA) next month. This service is being provided by the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Women, ages 40 and over, who are due for a mammogram are urged to register for this life-saving opportunity being provided at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6, at PCCUA located at 2807 Hwy. 165 S. in Stuttgart.
For women with or without insurance, pre-registration is required. All participants must be 40 and older. Mammograms are by appointment only. Please call the UAMS Mobile Mammography office at 1-800-259-8794 to schedule an appointment.
