THEATRE President Chalk Mitchell greeted the members and began the meeting. Mr. Mitchell introduced the Board Members present Kathy Dulaney, Ciri Burke, Debby King, Sylvia Darnell, Kirk Whiteside. Laurie Light provided a treasurer’s report (Treasurer's Report). Mr. Mitchell also introduced three of the new Board members present: Don Eastman, Gwen McGhee, Rusty Porter (introduced later). Susan Carter is the fourth new member but she was unable to attend the meeting. The nominating Committee introduced a slate of officers for the 2007-08 year. President –Kyle Miller, Vice President-Paula Oliver, Secretary-Chris Allen and Debby King, Treasurer-Laurie Light. Mr. Mitchell indicated that there would be two secretaries so that if one is absent the other will be able to take minutes. Kathy Delaney made a motion to accept the slate of officers and a second to that motion was made by Maureen Jones. The motion carried. A request for nominations from the floor were made, no one was nominated and Kathy Dulaney made a motion to vote on the slate presented to the membership. Maureen Jones made a second to that motion. The motion carried with a unanimous vote. Chalk Mitchell thanked everyone for helping make HLT a success. Maureen Jones mentioned that every board member had to be a member of HLT. It only costs a $1 to be a member and she wanted to make sure everyone remembered to pay that dollar. She also encouraged everyone there to become a member and make a contribution to HLT because it is so important to the community. The meeting adjourned at 6:00 PM. |
