Sigma Kappa President
RYAN TITIS
Ryan looks forward to a great future for the Sigma Kappa
chapter and the Arkansas Oklahoma Region. As a native of West Helena
Ryan has a vested interest in the growth and development of this
community and he knows that Phillips College and Phi Theta Kappa are
two of the best ways to reach those goals. Ryan is a History major
who wants to continue his education after PCCUA by achieving a
Bachelor's degree and then attending Law school. As President Ryan is
committed to the ideals of Phi Theta Kappa and will lead with
integrity, creativity, wisdom and humor. (Click on "Helena Campus

VICE-PRESIDENT OF SERVICE
Leslie Brokeshoulder
Leslie is a
Business major from Lexa. Leslie is married and has a nine year old
son, Brett, and a 12 year old step-daughter, Kira. Leslie owns two
businesses in West Helena: Brett's Thrift Shop, and a cleaning
service, Dust Bunnies. She is currently serving as the only female on
the Sonny Boy Blues Society Board of Directors, Chairman of theKing
Biscuit Store and Museum, Beverage Chairman for the King Biscuit Blues
Festival and is co-chairman of the beverage committee for the local
Wild Hog Festival, and ABATE 21 (Arkansas Bikers Association). Leslie
serves both groups as a fund raiser. As your Vice President of
Service, Leslie will implement fund raisers and food drives to help
support the Angels of Mercy Battered Women Shelter, Angels of Grace
food pantry, and other area charities. |

VICE PRESIDENT OF LEADERSHIP
Nicky Savage
Nicky is a PCCUA nursing major whose long range goal is to
earn a phD. in nursing. Her supervisory and managerial and
leadership skills are an asset to the Sigma Kappa chapter.. Nicky is
married with four children, two of whom are still in school and two
who are grown. A handsome old 2 yr. old grandson and a
beautiful little granddaughter are the light of her life. Nicky is
very excited about being a member of Phi Theta Kappa and promised to
do everything possible to make our year successful and to help bring
all of our projects to fruition.

VICE PRESIDENT OF SCHOLARSHIP
Anthony Cunningham
Anthony is a graduate of PCCUA and recently accepted a staff
position as College Relations Assistant. His communication skills and
computer proficiency have been valuable assets to Sigma Kappa during
the past year. Anthony was actively involved in the Summer planning
sessions held at the Pillow-Thompson House and presided as acting
president while Ryan Titis was away. During this time, Anthony
demonstrated superior leadership skills and worked to coordinate the
current slate of activities and projects. Anthony has been
instrumental in directing Sigma Kappa members in applications for
scholarship and worked to get tuition waived for any Phi Theta Kappa
member taking Leadership and Development Series (HUM 202), a course
offerred by Phi Theta Kappa |

SIGMA KAPPA TREASURER
Elizabeth JohnsonElizabeth is an education
major, who plans to graduate from PCCUA in 2005. After graduating
from PCCUA, Elizabeth will transfer to the University of Arkansas in
Monticello to persue a bachelors degree in elementary education.
Elizabeth is a single mother of a 19-month-old boy, Kaiden, who is her
"heart". While attending school in Iowa, she was treasurer and then
as vice president for her dorm. Elizabeth wants you to know that she
is honored and excited about being an officer of Phi Theta Kappa. She
brings to the organization integrity, organizational skills
and steadfastness which will enable her to fulfill her responsibility
as your treasurer. |

Responsibilities
Sigma Kappa President
Has overall responsibility for all Hallmark activities and
their implementation. Writes the chronology for submission
of the
chapter entries from Helena, Stuttgart and Dewitt.
Presides over meetings
and the formal induction ceremonies. Works with Vice Presidents of
Leadership, Scholarship, Service and Fellowship on all three campuses to accomplish chapter
goals. Oversees projects, yet allows members opportunity for leadership
development.

Vice President of Fellowship
Works with the Vice Presidents of Scholarship, Service, and
Leadership to coordinate activities for fellowship during project
activities. Promoting opportunities for fellowshipping with area Phi Theta
Kappa chapters and the Arkansas-Oklahoma region will require that this
officer initiate contact with officers, sponsors and the regional
coordinator, and relay information to Sigma Kappa for planning to
participate in local and regional activities.
Historian
Keeps record of chapter activities: photos, news clippings, flyers for
projects, etc, and artfully arranges chapter scrap book for entry in
national competition at yearly convention. Encourages members input and
usually calls for a "work day" in late fall or early spring.
