Jobs in manufacturing usually involve planning, managing, and performing the processing of materials into intermediate or final products. Graphic Communications plays a vital part in how people see, think and draw conclusions from what they have seen. It has become the lifeblood of our technological society because of its role in influencing the population all over the world through printed literature. Graphic design ensures that the printed image conveys the message that was intended. The graphic artist takes the idea and presents it in an appropriate format for the appropriate audience. Therefore, the graphics industry is constantly growing and is the most creative and fastest method of communication driving the industry of our future.

Construction Technology

The PCCUA Construction Technology degree prepares students to apply technical knowledge and skills for construction work such as building, inspecting, and maintaining of structures, roads, metal frames, and other construction jobs. The PCCUA program has specialized tracks in general construction, commercial HVAC, and welding, although operation of construction equipment will also be part of the instruction.

Welding

Welding is the process of joining metals by melting the parts and then using a filler to form a joint. Welding can be done using different energy sources, from a gas flame or electric arc to a laser or ultrasound. Welding is one of the most sought after trades today. The CDL program prepares and trains new drivers with the skills and knowledge needed to pass the State skills test and obtain a Class "A" CDL.

The program includes industrial electricity, industrial safety and sanitation, basic blueprint reading, and the basic laws of thermodynamics and thermodynamic cycles.
