Office Technology
Well-trained office professionals are essential to the business environment! The two-year Office Technology degree program is designed to prepare students for administrative assistant or clerical positions in a wide range of businesses or healthcare facilities.
Emphasis is placed on office skill sets such as document processing, records management, accounting, computer applications, and general office procedures and administration. With two degree options available, Medical and Administrative Support, students are prepared with a broad background in medical and office technology skills that enable them to be successful in diverse office technology career positions.
This program also serves students that are already employed and want to upgrade their office and/or medical technology skills for career advancement.

Program Goals
Upon completion fo the Associate of Applied Science in Office Technology, students will be able to:
- Apply the legal and ethical issues as it relates to the business offices and healthcare facilities;
- Demonstrate business professional work ethics, attitude, and values as it relates to the office environment;
- Demonstrate use of software and technology skills needed to perform in the office and healthcare environments;
- Analyze business and medical transactions, apply accounting functions, and prepare financial statements, and report used for decision making in the office and healthcare environments;
- Demonstrate effective communication skills in a business professional manner; and
- Demonstrate the ability to interact in a professional manner with diverse groups.
