Past, current performers to celebrate 85th anniversary of HLT

Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas (PCCUA) and Helena Little Theatre (HLT) are celebrating yet another important milestone as this year marks the 85th anniversary of HLT presenting live theatre to the Delta.

PCCUA Performing Arts Director Kirk Whiteside has invited both past and present performers to appear in “Music and Memories.....Celebrating HLT's 85th Anniversary!” next month.

“We are so excited to have a number of performers of years past, as well as current performers planning to participate in this milestone performance, because they have been such an important part of HLT’s history,” Whiteside said. “We can’t think of a better way to commemorate this very special occasion and to celebrate the theatrical organization that has given this community so much entertainment pleasure and great memories for the past 85 years.”

This concert-style production will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 9, in Lily Peter Auditorium in Helena. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students and will go on sale Monday, Feb. 25. Beginning that day, tickets may be purchased by calling 870-338-6474, ext. 1373, or by emailing kwhite@pccua.edu.
