Five local students have been awarded the full-tuition Technical Achievement Scholarship to attend Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas (PCCUA) in Helena. Scholarship recipients include Edward Graham and Ashley Bobo (not pictured), both of Helena; Shanita Cannon of Marion; Kendarius Clark of Lexa; and Gary Scott of West Helena.
Clark and Scott plan to pursue careers through PCCUA’s CDL program, while Graham will train in the HVAC program. Cannon has enrolled in the nursing program, and Bobo is set to begin the phlebotomy program. These scholarships were awarded based on American College Test (ACT) scores and high school GPAs, highlighting the academic dedication of each student.
