PCCUA’s technical certificate in Advanced Manufacturing prepares students for entry into the general, industrial, manufacturing field. Courses provide skills in basic electrical circuits, electric motor controls, machining, hydraulics, maintenance management, quality control, and production planning. Most courses involve hands-on experience with up-to-date, high-technology equipment found in current manufacturing operations.

Students will share their knowledge of the following essentials:
Understand and recognize concepts in advanced manufacturing and operations
Apply concepts in advanced manufacturing and operations to analyze issues related to quality management
Apply manufacturing best practices and technologies to evaluate problems related to testing and validation
Use standards of measurements for classroom investigations and identify errors.
Recognize safety hazards and potential safety issues and apply safe work practices and procedures in accordance with OSHA standards to safely handle tools, personal protective equipment, and a variety of materials used in manufacturing.
