In the Cosmetology Manicuring program students will understand the nail structure and its disorders. They will work hands on to learn and perform advanced and specialty manicures, pedicures, and massages. Communication skills and client interaction will be a part of basic salon operations learning.

- Demonstrate foundational manicuring and nail care skills, including basic manicuring, nail grooming, and introductory nail design, through safe and effective practical applications
- Apply basic nail science knowledge, including nail structure and properties, while demonstrating proper infection control, sanitation, and basic first aid procedures in compliance with salon and state board standards.
- Exhibit professional communication, interpersonal skills, and personal wellness practices appropriate for a salon environment, supporting positive client relationships and ethical workplace behavior.
- Demonstrate readiness of all skills required for the AR State Cosmetology Board Licensing Exam.
