C&TC students get hands on first aid training
Posted Date: 4/11/24

While studying law enforcement, the Career & Technology Center (C&TC) students at PCCUA-Helena underwent hands on training and education as first responders demonstrating lifesaving skills including CPR, first aid, Stop the Bleed, AED and administering Narcan. As first responders, police officers are often the lifeline for individuals trapped in life-threatening scenarios, so they must be armed with lifesaving skills.  C&TC staff thanked the Helena-West Helena Fire Department for coming out to assist with the hands-on training. PCCUA instructor Laketha Fluker noted that these are skills the students will be able to use in their daily lives and in their future careers in law enforcement.
