Alice Jackson, of West Helena, has been awarded the full-tuition Technical Achievement Scholarship at Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas (PCCUA). Jackson is majoring in Construction on the Helena campus, where she is pursuing an Associate of Applied Science degree.
The Technical Achievement Scholarship is awarded to first-time, full-time students entering PCCUA who demonstrate strong academic performance in a technical or occupational curriculum. Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA in their high school technical coursework, or a 23 ACT score may substitute for the GPA requirement.
Recipients receive tuition each semester for up to two consecutive years, provided they maintain a 2.5 GPA per semester and remain enrolled full-time during the fall and spring semesters. Students may also enroll in six or more credit hours during the summer term if desired. The scholarship is available exclusively to students pursuing occupational or technical programs leading to an Associate of Applied Science degree.
