PCCF announces new Warriors for Walt Scholarship recipient
Winter Sorenson, of Lexa, has been named the newest recipient of the Warriors for Walt Scholarship at Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas. Sorenson is a student in the Associate Degree Nursing program on the Helena campus.
This scholarship was established by Walter and Jayne Morris in loving memory of their grandson. Applicants must have a minimum grade point average of 2.5 to be eligible.
The Warriors for Walt Scholarship provides $1,750 per semester for two consecutive years. Recipients of this award must also maintain a 2.5 cumulative grade point average in order to keep the scholarship.
