PCCUA announces FREE CDL endorsements workshop

If you have your CDL, the easiest and least expensive way to obtain your endorsements is to attend a FREE upcoming workshop provided by Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas (PCCUA).

PCCUA-Helena announces a one-day workshop to be held on Monday, May 20, to prep for hazardous materials (HAZMAT), doubles and triples, and tanker endorsements. This training opportunity is funded in part by a grant from the State Highway and Transportation Department Fund.

This workshop is provided free of charge to anyone with a commercial driver’s license or a commercial learner’s permit and will be held in Rm. FA 150 on the Helena campus. The workshop will begin promptly at 8 a.m. and complete by 4 p.m. There will be a break for lunch. All materials required for these workshops will be provided at no charge.

Testing for these endorsements can be done anywhere written driver’s license testing is done. While there is no charge for the workshop, completers will need to obtain a testing packet from the state revenue office for each of the three endorsements in order to take the written tests. The testing packets cost $10 each. The tests each have approximately 25 questions. There are no skills tests required for these three endorsements.

While the workshop has no cost, registration is required. Sign up now by calling Linda Killion at 870-338-6474, ext. 1368, or Kathy Dulaney at 870-338-6474, ext. 1338.

Remember, more endorsements equal more money!
