Due to generous contributions from the Helena Health Foundation (HHF), allied health majors at Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas-Helena are receiving scholarships to help them reach their educational goals.
Among those receiving an HHF scholarship for the associate degree nursing program are Joshua Summerhill, of Helena, and Lindsey Holden, of West Helena. Also benefitting from an HHF award are phlebotomy major Mikayla Cornelious, of West Helena, medical lab technology major Shiria Lindsey, and practical nursing major Asia Thomas, of West Helena.
The mission of the Helena Health Foundation is to support and improve the public well-being and quality of life in Phillips County. The Foundation's three areas of focus are health education, access to healthcare and healthcare and wellness.
