Due to generous contributions from the Helena Health Foundation (HHF), many allied health majors at Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas-Helena are receiving scholarships to help them reach their educational goals.
The recipients of the HHF Scholarship this semester are Jillian Lewis, of Helena; Ka’Nyiah Jacobs, of Marvell; and Aryel Larry, Molly Lewis, and Christal Smith, all of West Helena.
Jacobs and Larry are majoring in nursing, while J. Lewis is studying practical nursing. M. Lewis and Smith have chosen phlebotomy.
The mission of the Helena Health Foundation is to support and improve the public well-being and quality of life in Phillips County. The Foundation's three areas of focus are health education, access to healthcare, and wellness.
