Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas (PCCUA) proudly celebrated the accomplishments of 21 graduates from its Adult Education Program during a heartfelt ceremony held on June 24, 2025.
Vice Chancellor for Instruction Monica Quattlebaum welcomed graduates, families, and guests with words of encouragement and pride. “We celebrate your strength and ability. We celebrate the guidance and support from your family,” she shared. “This is only the beginning of your story. Your story is still being written.”
Graduate Seth Moneymaker, a husband and father of two, offered inspiring remarks about his personal journey. “The adult education program provided me a second chance,” he said. “It offered me more than just an education—it gave me a sense of community and support to help me gain essential skills. While my journey has not been easy, the skills I have learned are invaluable. It is never too late to pursue your dreams.”
Guest speaker Deborah Bland delivered a powerful message that resonated deeply with the audience. “You are here because of your accomplishments,” she said. “Each of you has a story to tell. You showed up and completed the program. It is never too late to change paths.”
In addition to the GED graduates, special recognition was given to five students who completed Integrated Education and Training (IET) and Workforce Preparation certifications—further equipping them with skills to enter the workforce or continue their education.
PCCUA's Adult Education Program continues to be a vital resource in the Delta, helping individuals achieve academic goals, gain job-readiness skills, and open doors to new opportunities.
