PCCUA-Helena announces 2023 GED graduates

During a ceremony on the Helena campus, the 2023 GED graduates of the Adult Education program at Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas (PCCUA) were honored for this outstanding achievement.

Welcoming attendees to the ceremony was Jace Webster, who congratulated his classmates on this accomplishment. Recognized with special achievement certificates for their academic performance in the program were: Kira Brady and Javari Davis (science); Kira Brady and Javari Davis (reading/language arts); Kira Brady and Paul Litwiller (social studies), and Javari Davis (math).

Serving as speakers for the evening were Dr. Tarsha Smith, PCCUA instructor and owner of Plaza Rehab Chiropractic in West Helena, and PCCUA Vice Chancellor Dr. Kimberley Johnson. Dr. Smith urged the graduates to keep working beyond this milestone to become all they are destined to be. Dr. Johnson further motivated them to be passionate about all of their pursuits.

Helena campus receiving an Arkansas High School Diploma through the Arkansas Department of Education were: Dominic Blaine, Kira “Levi” Brady, Jayse Bramlett, Alexis Davis, Javari Davis, Paul Litwiller, Derward “Earshel” Mauldin, Lydia Mondy, Zechariah Mondy, Tabatha Murry, Carder Nunnery, Lanna Pritchett, Alexis Smith, Adrian Strickland, and Jace Webster.
