PCCUA Helena Campus Celebrates Honor Graduates, Outstanding Students, and All- Star Student

The 2025 honor graduates from the Helena Campus of Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas (PCCUA) were recognized during a special reception ahead of commencement on Friday, May 17. These students achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher, reflecting their dedication, hard work, and academic excellence throughout their college careers.

In addition to celebrating honor graduates, Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas proudly recognized five students as Outstanding Students of the Year for their academic excellence, leadership, and meaningful contributions to the PCCUA community. 

Allied Health Division

Gracie King has been an exceptional student in the Associate Degree Nursing Program. Known for her academic strength and creative spirit, Gracie contributed not only in the classroom but also by sharing her talents, such as designing the Allied Health logo. Her compassion, professionalism, and dedication to her peers and the nursing field have made a lasting impact.

 

Tabatha Murry quickly stood out as a natural in the field of Medical Laboratory Technology. With a deep passion for her profession, she consistently excelled in both academic and clinical settings. Her attention to detail, adaptability, and professional demeanor have earned her recognition as an outstanding student destined for success in the healthcare field.

 

Sky Porter’s journey through the Practical Nursing program was marked by impressive growth, leadership, and empathy. Nominated by the PN faculty, Sky consistently displayed academic excellence, a strong work ethic, and a compassionate approach to patient care. Her character and commitment reflect the core values of the nursing profession.

 

Applied Technology Division

Stephan Billingsley is being honored for his outstanding performance in the Applied Technology division. Earning multiple certificates and industry credentials alongside his AAS in General Technology, Stephan is recognized for his academic achievement, leadership, and tireless work ethic. A recent inductee into Phi Theta Kappa, he continues to go above and beyond in his studies and technical training.

 

Arts & Sciences Division

Dyeachia Branscomb, a graduate of both the Behavioral Health Technology and General Education programs, embodies resilience and determination. Despite facing personal hardship, including recovering from a serious car accident, she maintained academic excellence and juggled parenting and physical therapy while staying committed to her education. Her strength is a true reflection of PCCUA’s values.

 

Business & Information Systems Division

Graduating with an AAS in Information Systems Technology, Jarvis Banks has shown remarkable determination throughout his time at PCCUA. Balancing work and fatherhood, he overcame numerous challenges to succeed in his courses, often excelling independently. Jarvis’s drive and perseverance make him a role model for fellow students.

Special recognition was also given to 2025 Academic All-Star Scholarship recipient Winter Sorenson.
