Seven area students have been awarded two-year academic scholarships to Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas.
Receiving the full-tuition Academic Excellence Scholarship are Alexus Franklin and Kynsley Wooten, both of Helena; Katlyne Kilpatrick and Trinity Edgin, both of Lexa; Bryson Collier, Chelsea Camp, and Grant Rohrscheib, all of West Helena.
Camp, Edgin, and Rohrscheib are majoring in nursing, while Wooten is studying speech pathology. Collier, Franklin, and Kilpatrick are majoring in computer technology, general education, and MLT, respectively. These scholarships were awarded based on American College Test scores and high school grade point averages.
