Workshop in the Arts production/art exhibit set for June 27

Experiencing what it’s like to be a Broadway star, the entire cast of the Workshop in the Arts summer camp will take the stage at 6 p.m. Thursday, June 27, in Lily Peter Auditorium at Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas (PCCUA) in Helena. The show is free and open to the community.

The 2024 program will feature music centered around this summer’s “Broadway Stars” theme and will include such Broadway hits as Lullaby of Broadway, Give My Regards to Broadway, It's a Hard Knock Life from Annie, Seize the Day, and Ease on Down the Road from The Wiz.

Participants will also put their creativity on display as they present an art exhibit in the Hendrix Gallery prior to their performance.

Workshop director Paulette Parker said, “Our students have worked really hard this summer and are excited a bout presenting the production and the art show. Please come out and enjoy a fun evening filled with great music and budding, young talent.”
