Workshop in the Arts Reaches Record-Breaking Enrollment for Summer 2025
Posted Date: 6/10/25

Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas (PCCUA) is proud to announce that the 2025 Workshop in the Arts has reached a record-breaking enrollment of 55 students, the highest in the program’s 53-year history. This beloved summer tradition offers children a creative outlet and immersive experience in the arts. Over the course of four weeks, participants engage in a variety of activities, including visual art, crafts, acting, singing, and dancing. Classes are held Monday through Thursday for four hours each day.

The Workshop will culminate in a grand finale performance titled “A Night at the Oscars” on Wednesday, June 26, at 6:00 PM in the Hendrix Fine Arts Center. Students will showcase their talents through performances inspired by Oscar-winning songs, accompanied by a gallery exhibition of their artwork and crafts in the Hendrix Gallery. This community event is free and open to the public, and serves as a celebration of the students’ creativity, hard work, and artistic growth.

For over five decades, the Workshop in the Arts has inspired young minds and nurtured a lifelong appreciation for the arts in the Arkansas Delta. PCCUA is thrilled to continue this legacy in 2025 with one of its most vibrant and talented group of students yet.
