The AAT in Teaching is a transfer-oriented degree designed to prepare students for successful transition into baccalaureate-level teacher preparation programs. Outcomes emphasize theoretical understanding, analysis, and integration of educational practices.

  • Analyze theories of child development,learning, and motivation across diverse educational contexts.

  • Explain principles of curriculum design, instruction, and assessment aligned with educational standards.

  • Evaluate instructional strategies andclassroom practices using educational theory and evidence-based research.

  • Demonstrate professional dispositions, ethical reasoning, and reflective practice expected of future educators.

  • Integrate academic coursework and field-based experiences to support successful transfer into teacher education programs.
